Egyptian construction suppliers who are new to importing formwork accessories from India need the parts named before they need a price. A tie rod order is a small kit: the rod, the nut and the plate. This TOFU guide names those parts as they appear on jrsscaffold.com.
JRS Scaffoldings (Eastman Industries Limited, Ludhiana) lists JRS Tie Rod; lengths 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 meter for 15/17; cold-rolled and hot-rolled rods; tie rod nut; two-wing and three-wing anchor nuts; waller plate; water stopper; and tie rod connector. This is a catalogue identification page, not a stock list and not a load table.
The three pieces to know
Rod. A threaded bar. JRS listings distinguish length and 15/17, and cold rolled vs hot rolled. If you do not know 15/17, send a photo of the thread against a known nut.
Nut. Holds the plate. Listings include two-wing and three-wing anchor nuts and forged nuts. The wing count you already use in Egypt should be in the enquiry.
Plate (waller plate). Spreads the load on the formwork waler. Silver-zinc waller plates are listed as a finish variant. Water stoppers are a separate accessory — include them only if the pour requires them.
What “explained” does not include
This article does not give safe working loads, test certificates, or a minimum order. If an Egyptian consultant specification includes a test, attach that file when you write. The About page on jrsscaffold.com states company certifications; we do not add others here.
