A Saudi importer who writes “send tie rods” will get a clarification email, not a price. Formwork tie rods are a matched set: rod, nut, plate (and often a connector or water stopper). This MOFU guide lists the fields a factory needs so a Saudi RFQ can be quoted against the JRS formwork-accessories range.
JRS Scaffoldings (Eastman Industries Limited, Ludhiana) lists on jrsscaffold.com: JRS Tie Rod; tie rod 1 / 2 / 4 / 5 / 6 meter for 15/17; tie rod cold rolled and hot rolled; tie rod connector; tie rod nut; two-wing and three-wing anchor nuts; forged anchor nut; waller plate (including silver zinc plating); water stopper; and related formwork clamps. Those names are catalogue lines, not a promise that every length and nut is in stock for every destination. Confirm the combination you need.
Thread and the “15/17” call-out
Several JRS listings use “Tie Rod … Meter for 15/17”. Treat 15/17 as a thread / system call-out you must confirm against the formwork you already sell in KSA — do not assume it matches every European or Chinese panel on a Saudi site. In the RFQ, write:
- Thread / system you use (or “15/17 as listed” if that is what you buy)
- Whether the rod is cold rolled or hot rolled (both appear on the site)
- Any thread length or run-out the contractor specified
Do not invent a load rating. If the consultant’s spec has a test or grade, attach that page. If it does not, ask the factory what they can confirm in writing — do not put a number in the blog or the email that is not on the spec.
Length: pick SKUs, not a range
The category lists discrete lengths: 1 m, 2 m, 4 m, 5 m and 6 m for 15/17, plus generic “JRS Tie Rod” lines. For Saudi yards that cut on site, still quote factory lengths first. Send:
- Length per SKU (meters)
- Quantity per length
- Whether you need connectors to join rods (tie rod connector is listed)
A single “20 tons of tie rod” line without lengths is not quotable.
Matching accessories — nut and plate
The rod is unused without the nut and the plate the contractor expects.
Nuts listed on the site: tie rod nut; two-wing anchor nut; three-wing anchor nut; forged anchor nut; forged three-wing nut.
Plates / related: waller plate; silver zinc plating waller plate; forged anchor plate; square forged anchor plate; water stopper; mild steel water stopper; Brazilian water stopper.
For the RFQ:
- Nut type (two-wing / three-wing / forged) and any finish
- Plate type and whether zinc plating is required
- Water stopper yes/no, and which pattern if you already stock one
- Quantities that match the rod count (or state the ratio you use)

Saudi RFQ block (copy-paste)
- Rod: thread/system (e.g. 15/17), cold or hot rolled, length(s), quantity per length
- Connector: yes/no, quantity

- Finish if specified
- Destination in Saudi Arabia (port or project city)
- Packing note if you need something other than the export packing described on jrsscaffold.com (steel pallets and polyethylene wrap are mentioned on the company site)
